Summer Reading #4

Hi all, So it took me some time, but I have finally finished  The Three by Sarah Lotz. I have a lot of mixed feelings about this book. The book is about events and encounters that occurred after one random Thursday. which is dubbed black Thursday, where four passenger planes crash simultaneously, but on four different continents. There are 3 children who survive and one woman who only lives long enough to leave a voice recording on her phones. In the book there are many conspiracy theories as to why Black Thursday occurred and what it lead to.

When I finished reading the book, I was confused, hated the ending! it didn't answer anything and I am borderline displeased with what I just read. I liked one character, Pastor Len just thought he made the whole book worth seeing through till the end. I felt like the book was far too slow and for a thriller, it could have been a whole lot more thrilling. Other than that, thought it was good, not great, but good. I really liked how it showed what happens when Christianity goes wrong. Also, I liked how it felt so real, made me wonder if these kind of things could be going on in the here and now.  I would give it a 6 of 10.

The next and final non academic book I am reading this summer is, The Saint by Tiffany Reisz. I haven't started reading it yet, but I know its a mills and born book, so its a romance novel of sorts coupled with intense sexual parts. I don't really like reading romance novels but this really caught my eye. The book is about a woman named Eleanoir who is very rebellious and a young priest named Soren.
