Doom and Gloom

Like most people I do like to whinge about our crappy weather. I reckon mother nature is taking the bloody Michael. The weather is awful, thus, there is very little that I could do outside. I was hoping to start taking my camera everywhere I go, but I am pretty sure no one wants to see soggy pictures of the already awful Stoke-on-Trent. Plus, I do not want to get my camera wet. Sigh.

Quick Weekly Catch up 25/05

Hello all, so this week has been rather eventful.
  • Tuesday - I sat my last exam and I am so glad to have finished 2nd year now. Of course that warranted a celebration, and that evening I went to a house party, it was rather good; so good that it didn't finish until 5am the next day. Needless to say I felt the full effects of it, once I had woken up.
  • Wednesday - My friend and I went out for our weekly tapas which was as great as always.
  • Thursday - I went out on a date with a guy I had met at the party. The date was great and we had so much in common but I just wasn't attracted to him; so that's going nowhere.
The rest of the week the usual happened, I went to work on Friday and Saturday night. During the day on Friday, I went to view a house, for summer and next academic year. I loved the house, it is so close so my current house, that I don't even need a moving van. I could literally carry my stuff over there all by myself; though, that's probably going to take me all day. Secondly, the house was so clean, no nasty smell, no mould, no industrial grade carpet and the bills are all inclusive; including internet. It is so perfect, that on Saturday I paid the full deposit. Quite happy it is all sorted out.

Anyways, this whole week, I realised that I have nothing to do over the summer, which was a rather sobering epiphany.

Say hello to Mini Apple!

I finally, did it. I finally, justified getting myself an iPad mini with retina display and actually clicking purchase. Thanks to a little help from Unidays of course. I'm in ecstatic! So, it's 16GB with WiFi only, as I can always contact it to my iPhone 5s' all you can eat data. I look forward to using it as, I have wanting an iPad for years now.

JustFab Shoes

Hi internet, so after a month of being indecisive about what to get from justfab, as discussed in a pervious post, I have actually gone for 2 of the 4 options.

1. Carlita flats - they are a little weird looking, but I like them.
2. Giovana t-bar platforms - They are so comfortable, I've own them out already.
Thank you justfab!

Weekly Catch up 18/05

Hello all, so last sunday I did not post a weekly catch up as there really wasn't much that happened that week. This week however has been a little more eventful, firstly I sat two out of three exams this week. Though, I am not confident that I did well, I am more than glad that they are out of the way. Secondly, on Wednesday it was one of my friend's 20th birthday and so there was a little gathering, which quite frankly turned out to be a mini house party in the middle of exam season. Anyways, it was pretty good, and I got to wear my new Truffle Jellys and Rivington high waisted jegging/jeans, both from ASOS. I have to say that the Jellies were very comfortable, contrary to what people have said about them on Facebook. Thirdly, on Friday I booked a table for two, for me and my friend at a Mexican restaurant, which has the best tapas around here. Unfortunately, my friend was not allowed in, as her ID was not accepted by these new ID scanners that are dotted around everywhere now. Even though her ID is a valid European ID which the bouncer in the revolution bar next door, accepted without question. I really don't like how everything is being replaced by machines and how I need my fingerprint scanned in bargin booze.

Anyways, On Saturday, I did manage to study quite a bit, then in the evening I had work and after work (after midnight), I went out with a few friends. I didn't get back home until 4am...which was rather silly considering I had a job interview at 9am. I did manage to make it to the interview, and I realised that I actually didn't want this particular job. Even though I whinged about not having a job for 4 months, I do have a job now and this other one I went for an interview for should really go to someone who would really appreciate it. After all, I do also have Festival jobs lined up for the summer. Nonetheless, need less to say after the interview I did sleep through out the rest of the day, which was a shame because I missed out on the lovely whether.

Mini Make up Haul

Hey all, Just thought I would share a pretty treats that I have treated myself to.
  1. Sleek Make up Blush - Flushed. I quite like its far more subdue than pomegranate which is my favourite blush by sleek.
  2. Maybelline New York's The Colossal Volume Express Waterproof. It is pretty good, and a little too waterproof.
  3. Maybelline New York's Eye studio lasting Drama, Gel eyeliner 24H -Intense Black. I am loving this eyeliner, bye bye liquid eyeliner, because this one is here to stay; even though it doesn't last for 24hrs.

Hey May!

Well hello May, you bitter sweet month. The start of the month is preoccupied with studying and accommodation hunting. The middle of the month, is riddled with exams and the end of the month is forecasted with showers of alcohol and dancing into the wee hours of the morning. As, it is in tradition I do have monthly goals, however this month, the only goal I have this month is to pass my exams and not break down in the process.  I would also like to wish good luck to anyone else who is having exams this month.

Bye Bye Clutter

I have been doing some spring cleaning, mostly because there are a lot of clothes and shoes that I don't wear anymore. Also, I do want to buy some new clothes. The whole process took about 2 days to bag things and some things I'm probably going to sell on ebay or something. However, the stuff I don't want anymore, I don't know what to do with it because I don't want to just throw it all away, so I spent most of last week calling up places, seeing if they take donations. Surprisingly, most places were shut for good or they weren't taking donations at the time. I did ask around though and there's a clothes bin, about a few miles away. So hopefully sometime this week, I'll be able to take the clothes and shoes. Other than the trying to donate part, the cleaning process was so therapeutic, as it got me thinking about things I've been putting off.
