Weekly Catch up: Week 14/04 and 21/04

Hello internet, so last Sunday I didn't post a weekly catch up as there was nothing noteworthy that occurred. Also, this past week nothing has occurred either as I have been a hermit and haven't left my house much other than to go to the gym. As exams are fast approaching I've been preoccupied with revising and trying to complete my last forensic assignment. I'm starting to panic at about exams as they are finals and I really would like to progress to 3rd year. Anyways, this Friday I did let my hair down and went out for my friend's birthday which was really great. That concludes my weekly catch up.

Waist Training

After extensive research with my friends, we've decided to start waist training; which is also known as corset training. As we have reached a point where we don't really want to lose any more weight, we just want to lose a few inches around the waist. As everyone knows you can't just lose weight around the waist without losing weight overall. Anyways, I bought a steel bone underbust corset from corset4u, which is 26inches, as you are supposed to get one that is 4-5 inches smaller than your actual waist. A lot of videos I've seen are of women who just pop it own, go about their daily life and fail to mention how extremely uncomfortable it is to start with.
So, I am on day 5 now and I've been wearing it for 6hours a day, usually to sleep which is rather uncomfortable. On the first day, it was unbearable and it wasn't even as tight as should have been. Though a few days later it is alright and I can now breathe normally. The only annoying thing about it, is my belly button randomly starts to itch. Other than that, I have noticed that I am not eating as much as before. Also, when I take off my corset my stomach sort of stays in shape for a few minutes. So imagine a few months down the line and when I finally reach my target.  There is something so sexy about having a corset on and I quite like how it looks when I have it on.

13 Places I Would Like To Visit

I quite like the number 13 as it is quite a lucky number for, because I was born on 13th January. I have decided to add 13 distinctions that I must visit, to the travel session of the bucket list.
1. Tokyo, Japan,

2. Corsica, France
3. Blue Lagoon, Malta, Spain
4. Salar de Uyuni (where the sky meets the earth), Bolivia
5. Milan, Italy
6. Acapulco, Mexican
7. Yellowstone National park, Wyoming, USA

8. Tahiti, French Polynesia
9. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
10. The Vatican, Rome, Italy
11. Melissani Lake, Cephalonia, Greece
12. Central Park, New York City, USA
13. Berlin, Germany
I haven't added Australia, Cyprus, Thailand, Singapore, Paris France, Corfu Greece and Barcelona Spain because I have already been. Though given the opportunity I would be back there in a heartbeat.

What an experience.

I have been going on a few dates with this guy (Roy), for a few months now and I was hoping by now I would like him and there isn't really a spark there. I really don't like him as anything more than just a friend, so basically he is in that friend zone and I made it very clear to him that I wasn't looking for anything serious at the moment. He seems to have got the hint and has been really cool about it. As, we haven't been on any more dates, though he has been inviting me to hang out with his friends.
They are quite a lively bunch and we had fun times, though the problem is I really like one of his friends (Adam). The first time Adam and I were introduced we got on swimmingly, the conversation flowed easily as there was a spark. Since that day, we have been talking/snap chatting and I am starting to feel bad, because I realise I have gotten myself into a sticky situation. I have never been in a situation like this, so I am not sure what to do about it  and everyone I have talked to about says I should just stop talking to both guys. Even if, Roy and I are only friends, it would be so wrong to start seeing his friend Adam. What is even more awkward, is that Roy knows that Adam have been speaking, and hasn't really said anything to me about it.
So, I have decided to phase out all conversations with Roy & Adam, as well as  politely decline any invitations to hang out with Roy and his friends. Sadly, that includes turning down the offer to go jet skiing in wales this Easter weekend.

For the purpose of trying not to be too confusing, and protecting their identities I have used pseudonym.

Hair and Beauty Haul

Palmer's Cocoa Formula Purifying Mask, which is a face mask
Geriner's Pure Active daily scrub
Got2b Tame and Shine Styling Oil, for daily use
Nivea Q10 Eye cream (I have started to notice a few fine lines under my eyes)
Palmer's Cocoa Formula Dark Spot corrector

So I got paid on Saturday and I decided to get a few face products and some hair serum, today. I actually haven't tried the Palmer's Cocoa Formula products and the Nivea eye cream before. So, I am looking forward to trying these.

Weekly catch up

Hey all, so this week has been a little more productive than last week. I finally found the motivation to get stuck in and I have began my revision, as well as my last assignment. I also went for a job interview this week, at Toby Carvery. I think it went rather well, the interviewer was only a couple of years older than me so it was really relaxed; not like other interviews I have been to. I hope I got the job, because I quite like Toby Carvery. My love for whetherspoons lessened significantly after I went past the interview stage and still didn't get the job.

I ordered a few things off amazon, such as a tail comb, the old sleek contour kit which I have been looking for everywhere, blending brushes and some empty loose powder pots for my Ben Nye banana powder.  On the fitness side of things, I reached my daily 10,000 steps goal every single day of the week, which was surprisingly quite hard to complete. Also, started to attend the FAST core and FAST Abs classes at my local PureGym. I really want a flat stomach this summer, as I will be in Crete and possibly in South Africa as well.

On the 10th, it was my sister's 13th birthday and unfortunately she was all the way in Devon, which is 238 miles away, so I didn't get to spend the day with her. At least we got to Facetime for an hour or so and her birthday present managed to get to her on her birthday, courtesy to royal mail's special delivery.

New Blending Brushes

As I previously posted, my brushes set was lacking decent blending brushes. So I ordered a blending brushes set, it arrived to today and I can not wait to use them.

Just Fab Trap

For those who haven't bought anything from justfab, basically the site takes out £35 out of your account every month and I only realised this after I bought a lovely bag from them last December. The bag is awesome, looks really great and has managed not to break from the amount of library books in it. Anyways, every month if you don't want to buy anything from there then you have to 'skip the month' before the 5th of that month. I have managed to skip the last 3months by the skin of my teeth. However, this month it completely slipped my mind and they credited £35 (all the items on the site are £35) from my account today. So, now I have to buy something from there because, essentially I have already paid for whichever item I decided to purchase.

I have a little browse on the website and there is a lot of nice things. I am pretty undeceive so I can't decide which item I want from the pictures below.

1. The Arrival bag - I have had my eye on this bag for quite sometime, I am still not sure about getting it.
2. Carlita flats - I really like these, and they would be perfect for summer.
3. The Ascot clutch bag - I need some clutch bags aren't just black, so this would be great, but for £35? I don't know.
4. Giovana t-bar platforms - you can never have too many pair of heels
Sometimes,  the site does have buy one get one free offers, so I might have to wait for the offer. everyone loves a bargain.

Weekly Catch up

I have decided to try my best and do a weekly catch up. So this week has been the week of last lectures, so it has been exciting as well as overwhelming. It has been overwhelming because, now we have to start revising for the big exams and I feel like I have not learnt anything this semester. That being said, during the week I was rather unproductive, thus the week hasn't been eventful. Hopefully the new week will be a lot better.

April hope you end soon

Similarly to last month, I have some new goals that I would like to achieve this month. I am not looking forward to this month, as I will not have much of a social life, because I will be revising for the may exams. well, it is more like learning and then revising as I do not remember anything from lectures. So, my mini goals are as follows:
  1. Build up a photography portfolio - carrying on from last month, as I didn't have time to work on it.
  2. Purchase something on my wishlist - why not? we all deserve a treat once in a while
  3. Find a house for next (academic) year - I need to find accommodation for my last year, but it's quite hard because, basically all the student houses are pretty gross. The amount of stories I have heard about people moving out mid year, because their houses were not to suitable to live in, due to bad landlords or mould problems.
  4. Blog more - I'm good at reading other people's blogs and commenting, but not so much blogging a lot myself.
  5. Wash my make up brushes more often - I try and wash them every Sunday, but it ends up being every other Sunday.
  6. Stick to my revision plan - like most people, I always make a revision plan and never stick to it. So I end up cramming like 3 different modules in the last week, if not the last few days.
  7. Get a Job - I have been trying since January and I'm starting to lose motivation.
Additionally, at the end of the month, we receive our last student finance instalment and that is something to look forward to.

Mini: Purchases

Sleek Make Up's Blemish Balm Cream.
John Frieda's Fizz-Ease - thermal protection formula.
Sleek Make Up's crème to powder.
I topped up on a few everyday essentials, I have used all these products before and they are brilliant. Especially, the Fizz-Ease it's pretty good and taming the hair and smells really lovely. It has taken me a long time to find a heat protection product that doesn't dry out your hair and leaves it smelling awful.
